Professor Zrinka Greblo Jurakić participated in a meeting of the EuroPsy Committee, which operates under the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations (EFPA) headquartered in Brussels, on March 21, 2025.
Representing the national EuroPsy Committee, Professor Greblo Jurakić presented data regarding the alignment of psychology studies in Croatia with the European qualification standard for education, training, and competencies of psychologists (EuroPsy standard) and engaged in discussions about guidelines for the further development of psychology studies across Europe.
The principles underlying the development of the EuroPsy standard are:
-
To ensure the availability of high-quality psychological services throughout Europe.
-
To protect users from individuals who offer psychological assistance without adequate qualifications.
-
To prevent discrimination against psychologists based on national differences or disparities in education.
The EuroPsy certificate is evidence of meeting the EuroPsy qualification standard.
Psychologists who possess the EuroPsy certificate can apply for registration in the European register of psychologists, thereby becoming visible to all potential users across Europe.
More information about the EuroPsy certificate is available on the websites of the national EuroPsy Committee operating under the Croatian Psychological Society and on the EFPA EuroPsy Committee's web pages.
